How to create a competitive power
Studying a graduate is, in these times, almost a necessity. The labor market is more competitive than ever and requires professionals with extensive training and some specific skills. “For the vast majority of those responsible for selection of Spanish companies, being in possession of a graduate program has become a necessary, though not always enough time to submit a resume to get a good job” says Jesus Lopez Avalos, managing director of the Training School of the Foundation de Studios Financiers (FEF) and Vice President of EFFAS.
So business schools have begun to go further. They have adapted quickly to these demands and also provide valuable tools for students to successfully enter the labor market. Placement agreements with companies, seminars, and tutoring, coaching, courses to improve the curriculum … the choice is vast. The goal? Those students begin with good standing in the labor market. As they say from the Center for Economic and Business Studies (CECO), “the success of any training program lies not only in their ability to provide knowledge and raise the skills of their students, but also and especially in the current economic situation in its ability to offer career opportunities to them.”
Postgraduate training in fashion. “With 40% of youths unemployed, training is a way out of unemployment,” says Miguel Sanchez Galindo, training director of the Secular de Organization Industrial (EOI). This institution has had in 2010 the largest number of students in its history, with an increase of 20% over the previous year. “The crisis has not affected us, like other sectors,” adds Sanchez Galindo.
In general, the employability of students in a business school is usually quite high. In the Centro de Studios Garages, for example, boast that their students have a placement rate three months after completing the program more than 95%. It’s the same amount offered by the Secular de Organization Industrial (EOI): After months of practice, almost all students find jobs.
